Medical Nutrition Therapy in Adult Diseases (Theory & Practice)

Course Purpose & Vision

Evidence-based clinical diet therapy and case simulations across cardiometabolic, GI, oncologic, renal, and hepatic diseases using the Nutrition Care Process (NCP).

🎯 Core Topics Covered: Antropometric and clinical biochemistry interpretation, obesity management, glycemic control & carbohydrate counting in Type 2 Diabetes, CVD, hypertension, Mediterranean & DASH diets, GI disorders (celiac, IBD, GERD), cancer cachexia & oncologic nutrition, acute/chronic renal disease & dialysis, liver diseases (MASLD/MASH, cirrhosis), and pancreatitis.

🎯 Course Objectives & Vision

  • 🌿 Mediterranean & DASH Diet Workshop: Analytical diet modeling beyond caloric restriction, accounting for portion dynamics and local biodiversity.
  • 🤖 GLP-1 Therapy & AI Case Simulations: Modeling gastrointestinal symptom management, lean mass preservation, and precision macronutrient targets via AI-assisted simulations.
  • Nutrition Care Process (NCP): Formulating evidence-based PES diagnoses, carbohydrate counting, and tailored clinical diet prescriptions.
